Refund Policy

Overview

We stand behind the quality of our letters. If your letter doesn't meet your expectations, request a free redraft from your account dashboard within 14 days of delivery — we respond within 24 hours and deliver the new version, typically within 24–48 hours. If you believe a refund is warranted rather than a redraft, email support@fightthis.ai with your order details and we'll review it individually.

Refunds cover letter quality — the writing, citations, and professional tone. They do not cover the outcome of your dispute, which depends on the recipient's response.

What's covered

Letter quality issues, including:

• Writing problems (unclear, unprofessional, or poorly structured prose)
• Missing or inaccurate statute and policy citations
• Tone that isn't appropriate for the recipient
• Inaccurate references to the facts of your situation

What's not covered

The outcome of your dispute. Whether the recipient — insurance company, IRS, debt collector, agency, or anyone else — approves your appeal, reverses a charge, or grants your request depends on factors outside our control. We draft letters; we don't guarantee outcomes.

How to request a redraft

1. Sign in to your account and find the letter in your dashboard.
2. Click "Request redraft" from your letter.
3. Tell us what's not working — too generic, missing citations, wrong tone, etc.

We respond within 24 hours and deliver the redrafted letter to your dashboard, typically within 24–48 hours. Redraft requests are eligible within 14 days of delivery.

If you believe a refund is warranted rather than a redraft, email support@fightthis.ai with your order or transaction ID. Refunds are reviewed individually and processed back to your original payment method.

Mail service

If you bundled USPS mailing with your letter:

• Letter not yet mailed: If we haven't yet submitted your letter to USPS via our mail provider (Lob), the mail charge is fully refunded along with the letter charge.
• Letter already mailed: Once submitted to USPS, mail charges are not refundable — the postal service was provided. The letter quality guarantee still applies to the letter itself.

Bundles

For bundle purchases (Letter + Certified Mail, etc.), the same rules apply per component. The letter portion is covered by the quality refund policy; the mail portion is refundable until the letter has been submitted to USPS.

Refund processing time

Refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Stripe and typically clear within 5–7 business days. Bank or card-issuer timing may vary.

Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact us before filing a chargeback — we'll always try to resolve things directly first. Chargebacks that result in fees from Stripe and are decided in our favor are passed through to you.
